Susan Gail (Spratt) Griggs

Mrs. Susan Gail Griggs, age 80, of Paris, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at her home in Paris. She was born July 20, 1945, in Pittsburg, Texas to Bruce and Hartzel Bennett Spratt.

Susan was a homemaker, taking caring of her children and her husband. She was a Baptist.

She is survived by her husband whom she married September 13, 1963, Morris Griggs; son, Todd Griggs and wife Elna; daughter, Angela Newlin and husband Jeremy; grandchildren, Trevor Newlin, and Aaron Griggs; brother, Warren “Buddy” Spratt and wife Debra; sisters, Patty Drake, and Jill Johns and husband Bob; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by both of her parents, Bruce and Hartzel Bennett Spratt; sister Melissa Salter; and her grandparents, Warren and Myrtle Bennet and Wimp and Winnie Spratt.

A Memorial Service will held at 11:00A.M. Friday, March 20, 2026, at His Place Fellowship, 925 TX 24, Paris, Texas 75462. In lieu of flowers donations may be in made in Susan’s memory to His Place Fellowship, P.O. Box 128 Paris, Texas 75461 or to a charity of your choice.
