Steven Wayne Ellison

Steven Wayne Ellison, a long-time resident of Gilmer, Texas, passed away on November 26, 2022, at the age of 63.

Steven was born in Pittsburg, Texas, on February 25, 1959, to Jerry Wayne Ellison and Valta Faye Hazelton. Mr. Ellison was a graduate of Gilmer High School. He was an avid fisherman, and also enjoyed knife-making. He spent most of his life, up until retirement, employed by Pilgrim’s Pride, where he worked as a Travel Shop Inventory Specialist.

Mr. Ellison is survived by his wife, Susan Ellison, whom he married in 2013; two sons, Jared Ellison of Gilmer, Texas, and Jason Ellison and wife, Stephanie, of Clovis, New Mexico; two stepdaughters, Kelly Reynolds and Krystal Sanders, both of Pittsburg, Texas; and one brother, David Ellison. He also leaves behind eleven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Valta.

A memorial service was held in his honor on December 3, 2022, at Willow Oak Cemetery in Gilmer, Texas.
