Stephen Lee Herman

Mr. Stephen Lee Herman, age 76, of Pittsburg, passed away on Tuesday June 7, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 11, 1946 to Johnson Olive Herman and Mary Frances Lee in Hickory, North Carolina.

He served in the United States Army during Vietnam, was an author, and taught school for over 20 years. He loved for his grandchildren to come over and go fishing, and also enjoyed going to the ballfield and watching them play ball. He attended Pine Street Baptist Church in Winnsboro.

He is survived by his wife, Sheryl Marze Herman; children, Jason Noll and wife Anita, Tony Lyons and wife Melody, and Ryan White and wife Jessica; grandchildren, Raymond White, Justin Noll, Brandon Noll, Emma Claire Noll, and Trenton Noll; brothers, Max Akin and wife Teri, Craig Akin and wife Sandra, Jeff Akin and wife Shari; and a sister Lydia Lines and husband Kenny.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, June 10, 2022  at the Pine Street Baptist Church, 611 West Pine Street, Winnsboro, Texas with Bro. Mike Jeter and Bro. Nub Brown officiating. Interment will be held at 3:00 P.M.  Friday June 10, 2022 at the San Augustine City Cemetery in San Augustine, Texas. There will be a visitation held before the service beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the church.
