Funeral services for Sharon Nan McDowell, 72, of El Cajon, CA will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Crossroads Baptist Church in Camp County with Pastor Mark Smith officiating. Interment will be in Crossroads Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. Ms. McDowell passed away Monday, March 1, 2021.
Ms. McDowell was born November 23, 1948 in Arlington, VA to Thurman and Clovis Olene Arnold Smith. She was a retired banker and a member of Victory Baptist Church in El Cajon, CA.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharolyn McDowell Hollimon and husband, Ty; son, Scott McDowell and wife, Mindy; grandchildren, Kai, Coralyn, Amandalyn, Madison, and Grant; brothers, Col. Randall Smith and wife, Donna, and Mark Smith and wife, Janice, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Ms. McDowell is preceded in death by her parents, Thurman and Olene Smith.
Pallbearers will be Kai Budinger, Brett Smith, Justin Smith, Hunter Smith, Reggie Reynolds, and David Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Ty Hollimon, Vance Arnold, Johnny Smith, and Grant McDowell.
Visitation will be from 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Crossroads Baptist Church.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation or Victory Baptist Church, 1280 N Johnson Ave, El Cajon, CA 92020.
