Ruth Kathleen Toner Williams

Ruth Kathleen Toner Williams, age 92, passed away on April 15, 2023, in Pittsburg, Texas. She was born on March 20, 1931, in Fulton, Arkansas. Ruth attended high school in Arkansas and later met and married Loyd Williams. After her husband passed away, Ruth married J.C. Calvery. She spent most of her time as a dedicated housewife; she also worked at Hardee's making biscuits and enjoyed grooming dogs.

Ruth worshiped at the First Baptist Church in Cason and later joined Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Pittsburg. She will be remembered for her devotion to her faith and her community. Her family is confident that she has been made new, and she is rejoicing in Heaven while picking berries and fishing.

Ruth is survived by her son, Michael Williams; brother, John Edward; grandchildren, Leonna O'Neal and husband Pete, Christy Strickland and husband Eddie, and Jay; great-grandchildren, Cooper J. Blackmon and Alex Strickland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Page Toner and Ivy Lillian Ford; daughter, Bonnie Williams Cooper; sisters, Edith, Faye, and Betty; and brothers, Roy, Bill, James, and Don.

A ceremony to honor Ruth will be held at 10:00 a.m. on May 20, 2023, at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg, Texas. Bro. Joe Caudle and Dr. Ricky Williams will be officiating the memorial service.
