Royce Strube

Funeral service for Royce Strube, 98, of Pittsburg will be held at 2:00 p.m, Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tim Parker officiating.  Interment will follow at Matinburg Cemetery in Camp County.  He passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at a Pittsburg hospital.

Mr. Strube was born April 14, 1923, in Upshur County to John and Rebecca Richardson Strube.  He was retired from Center Point Energy and was a veteran of the United State Navy during World War II, was a member of the VFW Post 5398, a longtime member of the Pittsburg Lions Club, and was a Methodist.

He survived by his wife, LaVerne Carpenter Strube; sons, Jimmy Strube and wife, Judy and Ray Strube and wife, Jan and Martin Strube; daughters, Tracy Holcomb and Janie James; grandchildren, Marc Strube and wife, Anna, Lori Young and husband, Patrick, Ramsey Strube and wife, Heather, Caroline Rutledge and husband, B.J., Stephanie Klaus and husband, Alton, Bradley Strube and wife, Michele, Eric Strube and wife, Rebekah, Joshua Folmar, and Halee James; 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law, Ruth Drew.

Mr. Strube is preceded by his parents; brothers, Henry Strube, John Strube, and Delbert Strube; and sister, Beatrice Gibbons.

Pallbearers will his grandson, J.C. Ellison.

Honorary pallbearer will be Bobby Ellison.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 29, 2021, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel
