Roy Shelton Moody, Jr.

Mr. Roy Shelton Moody, Jr., age 89, of Pittsburg, passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 in Mt. Pleasant. He was born August 6, 1931 to Roy Shelton Moody Sr. and Ruby Young Moody in Camp County.

He served in the United States Army, was retired from Pilgrim’s Pride where he was the Feed Mill Manager, and was a Baptist.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Moody; son, Byron Moody and wife Judy; daugther, Dawnette Burns and husband David; grandson, Kyle Moody; and sisters, Shela Powell and husband Glenn, and Sarah Moody.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Steve Moody, and James Moody; and a sister, Mary Jordan.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 26, 2021 at Ebenezer Cemetery in Pittsburg with Bro. Randy Stracener officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be, Bobby Tillery, Terry Swann, Roy Lynn Richardson, Richard Richardson, Harold Hopkins, and Howard Loftis.

Family request that anyone in attendance please wear a mask.
