Ronnie Cook, 77, of Pittsburg was born May 22, 1945, in Pittsburg, Texas, to J.M. “Buddy” Cook and Marjorie Cook, and passed away on January 18, 2023, at his home.
Ronnie spent over 50 years in the cattle business, employed by Thigpen Livestock Company. He was also a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church in Pittsburg.
Mr. Cook was survived by his two sons, Greg Cook and his wife Becky of Mt. Vernon, Texas, and Scott Cook and his wife Amy of Marlin, Texas; grandchildren, Macy Alexander and husband Chris, Makayla Morgan, Mason Cook and wife, Taylor, Mcklayne Cook, Madalyn Morgan, Mahaley Davis and husband, Jevon, Mabry Cook, Mia Schane, Marly Cook, and Mckeller Cook; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Glenda Cook; daughter and son-in-law, Buffy Cook Schane and husband, Wade; and brother, Gary Cook.
Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the First United Methodist Church in Pittsburg, with burial to follow at Maple Springs Cemetery. Reverend Jeff Dungan and Bro. Kyle Smith will officiate the services. The pallbearers will be Mason Cook, Mckeller Cook, Chris Alexander, Blake Stock, Rico Willis, and Mario Willis. Honorary pallbearers, family at Thigpen Livestock, and his Sale Barn family and friends. The family will receive friends between 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
