Ronald James Arrington, 81, of Pittsburg, TX was born October 3, 1942, to Mildred Black Arrington and Alton James Arrington and passed away on October 14, 2023.
He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and retired from AT&T/ Lucent in Dallas, TX where he worked as Supervisor.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Frances Duncan Arrington of Pittsburg, TX; daughter Shelley Arrington Longsworth and her husband Jay Longsworth of Rowlett, TX; grandchildren, Emily Longsworth, Landon Longsworth, Gianni Arrington, and Zachary Arrington; sister Carolyn Weems; and brothers Billy and David Arrington; also survived by numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was proceeded in death by his son Jeff Arrington; sister Sandra Marsh and brothers, Larry Arrington and Jett Arrington.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 20,2023 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Maple Springs Cemetery in Camp County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Bro. Kyle Smith will officiate the services, and pallbearers will be Landon Longsworth, Brian Arrington, Scott Arrington, Jake Arrington, Eric Arrington, and Chad Oestrich with honorary pallbearers being Joey Saxon and Justin Saxon.
Memorial donations may be made to the Maple Springs Cemetery Fund, Emmanuel Baptist Church, or Alzheimer’s Association.
