Rocky Rozell

Mr. Rocky Rozell, age 65, of Pittsburg, passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 in Mt. Pleasant. He was born April 12, 1956 in Pittsburg to Carl and Betty Caviness Rozell.

He was member of Macedonia Baptist Church; he was retired from the Oil and Gas Industry. He was also a mechanic of all trades, if it had a motor more than likely Rocky could fix it. He loved to camp, fish, and having cookouts with his family. He loved His Lord and Macedonia Baptist Church meant a lot to him, he loved a good gospel singing, and loved to sing himself.  Rocky loved unconditionally, there was nothing he wouldn’t do for anyone, didn’t matter your past, or where you come from, if you needed help he was going to do whatever he could to help you, he had a servants heart, and we know that he has been rewarded in Heaven. He was a wonderful husband, daddy, Papaw, brother, and Uncle, and most definitely friend.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Judy Gail Rozell; children, Christopher Max Rozell and wife Lauren, Heather Dianne Short and husband Gary, Misty Renae Hardin and husband Bobby, Todd Christopher Counts, and Misty Jolenne Fooshee; grandchildren, Keely Rozell, Weslee Rozell, Claxton Rozell, Samuel Rozell, Jonathan Griffin, Brianna Schmidt, Destiny Short, Garyn Short, Jordan Limon, Majandra Limon, Kira Smith, Cortney Green, Katie Counts, Madeline Counts, Haley Hambrick, and Steven Newsom; great-grandchildren, Chandler Schmidt, Jasmyne Green, Noah Green, Dionisio Short,  and on the way Amari; brother, Dale Rozell and wife Dorothy;  and sister Carla Coleman; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by both parents, and brothers, Carl Max Rozell, and Rodney Rozell.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg, with Bro. Randy Stracener officiating, with burial to follow at Bethel Cemetery in Franklin County. Those serving as pallbearers will be, Weslee Rozell, Jordan Limon, Jonathan Griffin, Carl Wesley Rozell, Rodey Jack Landers, Billy Moss, Andy McFerrin, Layton Coleman, and Darrell Sellers; honorary pallbearers will be, Junior Blount and Bobby Murphree. There will be a visitation held from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M., on Monday, May 10, 2021 at the funeral home.
