Mr. Robert Rogers, 73, of Pittsburg, Texas was born October 5, 1948 in Palestine, Texas to Wilburn and Jean Richardson Rogers and passed away in Tyler, Texas on August 26, 2022.
Mr. Rogers served in the National Guard, he attended Sam Houston University and the Swigsby School of Banking at SMU. He was a former Ag teacher, spent 40 years in the banking business and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the Cattleman’s Association and the Kiwanis Club. He was very honored and proud to have received the Aubrey Pilgrim Agriculture Award.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Rogers of Pittsburg; sons and daughter-in-law, Chris and Angie Rogers of Teague, and Brian Rogers of Pittsburg; 2 grandchildren, Chandler and
Reid (Reid-o) Rogers of Teague; siblings, Kathy Newton and her family, and Becky Pearce and her family; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Wayne Rogers.
There will be a visitation at Erman Smith Funeral Home between 4:00-6:00 P.M. Sunday, August 28, 2022 and a graveside service at Olive Branch Cemetery in the Pert Community at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, August 29, 2022. Harold Kennington and George Folmar will officiate the service.
