Robert Eugene Murphree

Robert Eugene Murphree, 85, of Pittsburg was born July 14, 1935 in Pittsburg to BH Murphree and Ottie Gertrude Kizer. He passed away November 24, 2020 at his home in Pittsburg.

Robert was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and retired from Coca-Cola and Steve Parker Dirt Construction.

He is survived by his wife, Gayla McCaw Murphree; sons, Robert Wayne Murphree Jr. and wife Stephanie, Bobby Eugene Murphree and Stacy Lykens, Wayne Murphree Sr., Ronald Murphree and his wife Stacy, and Dennis Murphree and his wife Virginia; daughters, Peggy Brewer and Lanell Cavender and her husband Shane; grandchildren, Dakota Murphree, and Denise Murphree; great grandchildren, John Wayne Murphree, Matthew Glen Brewer, Jessie James Murphree, sister, Gladys and husband Glen Reynolds.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Murphree.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg, Texas. The family will receive friends at the cemetery prior to the graveside beginning at 1:00 P.M. Pallbearers will be Kelsie McCaw, John Wayne Murphree, Perry Overstreet, Jr., Robert Wayne Murphree, Jr., Bobby Murphree, Matthew Brewer, and Jessie James Murphree. Honorary Pallbearers are Coca Cola employees and Steve Parker
