Robert T Garfield

Robert Thomas Garfield, born on March 24, 1982, in Longview, Texas, passed away at the age of 42 on November 10, 2024, in Pittsburg, Texas. Known for his kind and loving nature, Robert left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Robert proudly served in the Army for nearly seven years, attaining the rank of sergeant. His commitment to service was a significant part of his life. Following his military career, he worked as a mechanic, a profession where he demonstrated his skill and dedication. He was a devoted member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Robert is survived by his mother, Jeri Shelton Garfield; sister, Sasheen Kordela; and son, Leland Garfield. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Edward Garfield.

A private memorial service will be held to honor Robert’s life and legacy.

In place of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
