Graveside service for Rickie Alan Brummell, 71, of Pittsburg will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 22, 2022, in Riley Cemetery with Bro. Gregg Miller officiating. Interment will be in Riley Cemetery in Camp County. Arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. Mr. Brummell passed away Monday, July 18, 2022, in a Pittsburg hospital.
He was born August 30, 1950, in Benicia, CA., to R.V. Brummell and Margaret Kiehl. Mr. Brummell was a businessman and owned Tommy Wilson Dirt and Asphalt for close to 15 years and then worked for Bi County Water up until his retirement. Anyone who knew Mr. Brummell knew he loved playing dominoes, the Dallas Cowboys and baseball. He was active with the Pittsburg Baseball Association either coaching or umpiring for over 30 years. He is a member Emmanuel Baptist Church.
Mr. Brummell is survived by his sons, Robert Hunter and wife, Lisa, of Fortuna, CA., Travis Brummell of Gilmer, Troy Brummell of Portland, OR., and Cory Brummell of Gilmer; daughter, Tiffany Lee and husband, Michael of Longview; seven grandchildren, Chelsea Brummell, Stormey Brummell, Taylor Lowrance, Levi Lee, Zachary Lee, Rebecca Lee and Tate Brummell; one great-grandchild, Teagan Isaac; brother, Ronnie Brummell; and two sisters, Melody Spieler and Melinda Bowlsby; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and granddaughter Kaitlyn Lee.
Pallbearers will be Jared Lowrance, Cyle Parsons, Edward Rogers, Perry Jones, Michael Shastid, and Robert Hunter.
Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m., Friday, July 22, 2022, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
