Richard "Doyle" Walton

Graveside services for Richard “Doyle” Walton, 83, of Longview, will be 2:30 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2024, with Bro. Shane Hayes officiating.  Interment will be in Riley Cemetery at County Line Baptist Church in Camp County.  Mr. Walton passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in a Longview hospital.

Mr. Walton was born March 3, 1940, in Pittsburg to Melvin Coonie and Enola Riley Walton.  He was a retired mechanic and loved to fish whenever he had the chance.

He is survived by his son, Jason Walton and wife, Melissa; daughter, Tracy Boyd; stepdaughters, Denise Day and husband, Ron, Teresa Erickson and husband, Andy; stepson, John Paul Cates and wife, Gayla; grandsons, Jackson Boyd, Jonathan Boyd, Connor Walton, Ethan Davenport; granddaughters, Brandi Davenport and Riley Walton; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mr. Walton is preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Walton; parents, Melvin “Coonie” and Enola Walton; daughter, Cathe Walton; brother, Dee Walton; paternal grandparents, Dave and Charlcy Shelton Walton; maternal grandparents, Sam and Ada Riley.

Pallbearers will be Connor Walton, Jonathan Boyd, Ethan Davenport, Dustin Walton, Chad Cates, and Chase Cates.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Friday, March 1, 2024, at County Line Cemetery in Camp County.
