Richard Charles Clifton of Pittsburg was born January 10, 1953 in Kilgore, Texas to Elmer “Judge” Clifton and Ruby Moore Clifton and passed away on December 13, 2021 in Tyler.
Mr. Clifton attended the Church of God of Prophecy and served his country in the United States Army.
Richard is survived by his wife Terry Clifton of Pittsburg; sons, Gary Clifton of Austin and Caston & Dustin Clifton-LeBlanc of Austin; daughter, Raven & Josh Posey of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Hannah Neal, Bella Clifton, Joe Clifton-LeBlanc, Kyleigh Posey, Kollin Posey, and Kayden Posey; brother Carl Clifton of Bonham, and sister Nelda Moss of Omaha.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Alton Clifton, Randy Clifton, Milton Jorgensen; and sister, Jean Denson.
Services will be held 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Crossroads Cemetery in Camp County. Visitation with the family will be between 1:30 -2:30 P.M. before the funeral at the funeral home. Brother David Posey and Gary Clifton will be officiating the service and pallbearers will be Randy Helton, Jerry Saylor, Bobby Lewis, Kenny Cooper, Elton Carpenter, and Scotty Loftis.
