Randy Dale Martin, age 72, of Pittsburg, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, in Tyler surrounded by his family. He was born August 6, 1953, in Clarksville, TX to Johnny and Jean Whitney Martin.
Randy worked as a surveyor for Longview Bridge and Road up until retirement in 2018. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Cason. Randy enjoyed hunting and fishing along with watching the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diane Jackson Martin; daughters, Mandy Martin and husband Chris, and Hailey Potter and husband Brian; grandchildren, Selah Potter, Kinsley Martin, Abby Potter, and Kennedy Martin; brother, Ricky Martin and wife Amalia; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by, both of his parent, Johnny and Jean Whitney Martin; brothers, Gary Martin and Johnny Martin; and his sister, Ramona Howard; and his beloved dog Ranger, who was named after the Texas Rangers.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg with Bro. David Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Talco Cemetery in Talco. Pallbearers will be Chris Martin, Brian Potter, Adam Martin, Wayne Martin, Timothy Martin, and Tommy Martin. There will be a visitation held before the service beginning at 9:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
