Graveside services for Phyllis Sharlene Farmer, 79, of Pittsburg, will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Macedonia Cemetery with Rev. John Coleman officiating. Interment will be in Macedonia Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home. Ms. Farmer passed away Monday, October 9, 2023, in a Gilmer nursing home.
Ms. Farmer was born September 27, 1944, in Ohio to Elmon Shoemaker and Doris Kiley. She was a retired secretary and had worked for Dr. Beverly Spearman and was a member of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her son, Scott Woodall and wife, Amy; grandchildren, Ashton and Kamrin; sisters, Teresa Kiley, Patty Hawkins, and Olive Kiley and Larry Lasky.
After making Texas her home she built many relationships that became family in her heart. Jason and Jeremy Farmer. Justin, Bobbie, Jaxton, and Jagger Farmer. Roy and Von Hunter. Along with multiple nieces, nephews, and coworkers.
Sharlene was Cha Cha to many people and will always be remembered for her fun-loving spirit, style, and grace.
Ms. Farmer was preceded in death by her son, Shawn Woodall, parents, and sister, Barbara Osborne. Beloved friend Veda Richardson.
