Phillip Darrell Allen, age 72, of Pittsburg, Texas passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021 at UT Health Hospital in Tyler. He was born March 12, 1949 to George and Lucille Allen in Pittsburg.
Phillip was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Pittsburg, the owner of Allen’s Body Shop, a Sheriff’s Deputy for the Camp County Sheriff’s Department, and a Volunteer Fire Fighter in Camp County for many years. He was a wonderful man, a true and loyal friend who is loved by many people. He never met a stranger, and was always quick to lend a helping hand to those in need. He loved the Lord, his daughter Rachelle, and granddaughter Karlee more than anything.
He is survived by his daughter, Rachelle Allen Seals and husband BJ Seals of Pittsburg; granddaughter, Karlee Seals of Pittsburg; Linda Capps Chamness mother to Rachelle Allen Seals; sister, Brenda Irby and husband Doyle of Pittsburg; nephew, Brian Irby of Pittsburg; nieces, Stephanie Twitty Taylor of Rowlett, Rebecca Twitty Sheffield of Sachse; and nephew, Jeffrey Twitty of Rowlett; along with their spouses and children.
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Lucille Allen, and his sister, Charlotte Dittamore Twitty of Rowlett.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg, with Bro. Randy Stracener officiating, with interment to follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg. Pallbearers will be, Brian Irby, Jimmy Coleman, Rick Dodson, Horace Wayne Reeves, Jimmy Fagg, Waylon Lain, Bo Tucker, Randall Lain, Jr., and Butch Wills. Honorary Pallbearer will be Clayton Dykes, and honorary heavenly pallbearer, Jackie Howell.
