Peggie Lynne Seale, of Pittsburg, passed away Monday evening, April 11, 2022 in Fort Worth at the age of 83. Peggie was born on August 24, 1938, in Cleburne, Texas. She was the fifth of eight children born to Jim and Vera Ratliff Payne. She attended school in Lake Worth and after graduating in 1956 she attended Arlington State College. It was at Arlington State where she met the love of her life, Lacy Seale. The two were wed in 1958 at the Meadowlane Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas. She was a housewife for many years and then a secretary for Pittsburg High School and the Camp County Extension Service before retiring. Over the years, she enjoyed painting, crafting and selling jewelry. Peggie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pittsburg for many years and taught Sunday school along with singing in the choir.
She is survived by her son: Randy Seale and wife Melanie; two daughters: Rhonda Lain and husband Ricky and Deanne Clark and husband Keith; a brother Richard Payne and wife Rita; and sister, Beverly Norman and husband Jay along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lacy; her parents Jim and Vera Payne; Brothers, Rochell and James; Sisters, Dorothy, Glisson and Deanna, and a daughter; Sherry Ann Seale.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Riley-County Line Cemetery in Camp County with Bro. Joel Davis officiating. Pallbearers will be Robert Lain, Tyler Seale, Juan Ruiz, Tanner Ruiz, Robby Chilton, Griffin Taylor, and Braxton Barnes. Visitation with the family will be held before the service from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made in her memory to First Baptist Church Pittsburg, 300 Jefferson Street Pittsburg, Texas 75686.
