Patsy Jane (Ryan) Deverell

Funeral services for Patsy Jane Deverell, 88, of Pittsburg will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 17, 2023, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Madison Caffey and Bro. David Kizer officiating.  Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home.  Mrs. Deverell passed away, Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at a Mt. Pleasant nursing home.

Mrs. Deverell was born on July 31, 1934, in Bearden, Arkansas, to John Patrick and Olive Marie Watson Ryan.  She was homemaker and a member of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her son, Charles Rateliff and wife, Pamela; daughter, Marie Rateliff; grandchildren, Charles, Myrna, Kandi, Starla, Kasie, Michael, Richard, Brandi, April, Eddie Dean, Kathleen, and John; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; brothers, Kenneth Ryan of St. Augustine, TX and Ronnie Ryan and wife, Juanita of Union Grove.

Mrs. Deverell was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Deverell; parents; sons, William Lucas, Eddie Lucas, and Jimmy Rateliff; daughter, Diane Deverell; and three grandchildren, Stacy, Stephanie, and Crystal.

Pallbearers will be Michael Applegate, Eddie Dean Lucas, Joseph Tutor, Joh Tutor, Charles Cole, and Todd Walker.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., until the start of service at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will have lunch at Lala Pop’s Coffee Shop, 104 Jefferson Street, Pittsburg, Texas, 903.960.2074 after the graveside service.  Anyone wishing to bring food can deliver it to Lala Pop’s Coffee Shop.
