Paige Cannon Obituary

Paige Peters Cannon peacefully departed the physical world on June 16, 2024, at her home in Pittsburg, TX she affectionately referred to as “The Ranch”.

Paige was born in Lovell, WY on August 9, 1956, to August A Peters and Helen Croft Peters.

She raised her children Whitney, Thomas and Cole in Hobbs, NM.

Paige married Mike Cannon on September 3, 2003, in Hobbs, NM.  She relocated to Pittsburg, TX with Mike where she fell in love with the people of East Texas, where she remained until her passing.

Paige was a life-long member of the LDS church, where she faithfully served many callings throughout her life, but the calling she loved the most was teaching children the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Although fighting Multiple Schlerosis has been part of her life since 1995, she did not let her physical limitations get in the way of selflessly serving others.  She was known for her unwavering positive attitude, buying little treats for people everywhere she went, forever baking cookies for friends and family, always trying to brighten people’s day with a little surprise.  The legacy she leaves for her children and grandchildren is that of selfless service, putting others first and loving unconditionally.

Paige is survived by the love of her life, Mike “My Darlin’” Cannon, daughter, Whitney Henderson and son, Brad Henderson, son, Thomas Wilson II and daughter, Susan Wilson, grandchildren, Grace & Chris Lords, Abby and Jared Johnson, Olivia and Tyler Mansker, Wilson Henderson, Marley Wilson and Stockton Wilson, and siblings Rick Peters, Paula Bensing and Barry Peters.

Paige was preceded in death by her parents Pete and Helen Peters, her son, Cole August Wilson, and her beloved chocolate lab, Henry aka The Goodest Boy (he was not the goodest boy).

The services for Paige Cannon will be held on Thursday, June 20 at 10:00 am at the LDS church in Mt Pleasant, TX followed by a graveside service at the Enoch Cemetery in Gilmer, TX.  There will be a visitation for close friends and family on Wednesday June 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Erman Smith Funeral Home in Pittsburg, TX.

The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, those that wish to honor the legacy of Paige perform a random act of kindness in the spirit of service Paige embodied.
