Oscar Carrol Burns

Funeral services for Oscar Carrol Burns, 81, of Pittsburg, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 9, 2025; visitation with the family will precede the funeral at 1:00 p.m., at Ebenezer Baptist Church with Pastor Johnny Simmons officiating the service. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. Mr. Burns passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in a Mt. Pleasant hospital surrounded by his family.

Mr. Burns was born on August 21, 1943, in Pittsburg to Oscar and Mary Sue Laney Burns, Jr.  He was retired from Wood A/C and a member of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Margie Faulkner Burns of Pittsburg; daughter, Carol Lynette Wiltse and husband Rick of Pittsburg, sons, Terry Ray Burns and wife Kim of San Clemente, CA., Todd Bryan Burns and wife Vickie of Mt. Pleasant, and Tony Lynne Burns and wife Kassie of Pittsburg; grandchildren, Joshua Wiltse and wife Nikki; Rae Lynn Hefner and husband, Jed; Lacey Burns, Tayren Krist and husband Jon; Cameron Burns, Mackenzie Molina and husband Joey; Brittany Burns, AshLynn Burns, Trace Burns and wife Reagan; Tambree Porter and husband Blake; Trooper Burns; Elijah Burns and Anniyah Burns; a host of great-grandchildren; and brother, Bobby Doyle Burns of Mt. Pleasant.

Mr. Burns is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, James Ronald Burns, and great-grandson, Levi Hefner.

Pallbearers are as follows: Kendal Burns, Kyle Burns, Russel Luck, Stuart Luck, Mark Richardson, Tony Simpson and Todd Boone.

Honorary Pallbearers are as follows: Roscoe Campbell, Rodney Glenn, Tim Hart, Kenneth Reese, Don Richardson, and Rick Simpson.
