Myra Wootten of Pittsburg was born February 1, 1934 in Pittsburg, Texas to Buster and Erna Maud Reeves Smith, and passed away on October 16, 2022 in Tyler, Texas.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pittsburg.
Mrs. Wootten is survived by her son, Steve Wootten and his wife Carol of Pittsburg; daughter, Debra Wootten Thomas and her husband Eddie of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Amanda Wootten Tilley and her husband Jim of Longview, Heath Thomas and his wife Megan of Mt. Pleasant, Hannah Thomas Zambrano and her husband Ricky of Mt. Pleasant; and great grandchild, Logan Tilley of Longview.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Charles Wootten; siblings, John Robert Smith and Maxine Copeland; daughter-in-law, Kathy Wootten
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg. The family will receive friends at the church between 1:00-2:00 P.M. prior to the funeral. Reverend Jeff Dungan will officiate the services and pallbearers will be Larry Copeland, Joe Dorris, Gary Dobbs, Dennis Smith, Dennis Harrel, Alan Brison, and Mark Smith.
