Merrell Ray (Buddy) Mitchell

Mr. Merrell Ray Mitchell age 76, of Mount Pleasant, Texas passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. He was born on June 26, 1945, in Plano, TX to Herbert and Pearl Mitchell

He was a Truck Driver for a great number of years.   

Merrell was survived by his wife Lanita Mitchell; son, Marlon Mitchell, Step- sons, Tanner Pate, Tron Pate; daughters, Elizabeth and husband John Sciortino, Kathy and husband Herbie Phillips, Kimberly and husband Jim Hinson; grandchildren, Brittany, Dale, Hillary, Nicole, Madison, Dalton, Jaylyn, John, Samantha, Anna, Makagan, Kyleigh, Willow; 20 great grandchildren;  twin sister, Alice Faye Talley; sister, Mary Lou Angel.   

Merrell is preceded in death by his parents; wife, of 38 year Betty Ruth Mitchell; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00am Friday, April 8, 2022 at Rowlett Creek Cemetery in Plano, TX.
