Marcia Lynn Buckberry Hall, 71, of Pittsburg, TX passed from this life to eternal glory on December 17, 2024 following a lengthy decline in her health and cognition. She was born on December 1, 1953 in Phoenix, Arizona and travelled the world with her family having lived in Illinois, Michigan, Scotland (UK), Newfoundland (CA), and Lubbock, TX.
A brief memorial service will be held at Erman Smith Funeral Home in Pittsburg, Texas on Saturday, December 21, 2024 at 11AM with visitation immediately following.
She is survived by her Husband, Bobby J. (Robert) Hall of Pittsburg, TX (married on December 17, 1973); her son Mike Hall with his wife Telly Crain Hall and their daughters Bailey Hall with her partner Alex Gamez and Avery Hall; her step-daughter Andey Hall with her husband Shawn Hall and their sons Jason Wakefield with his children Isabel and Lucas Wakefield and Euripedes Westfall with his wife Tiffany; and nephews Christoper and Michael Buckberry.
She is preceded in death by her father Colonel Marvin Sidney (Buck) Buckberry [USAF] and mother Iloe Darline Sharp Buckberry, as well as her brothers David (Buck) Buckberry, Rick Buckberry, and Robert (Red) Buckberry.
Marcia worked first as a Phlebotomist while attending South Plains College in Levelland, Texas and then Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Lubbock, Texas obtaining her certification as a Registered Nurse. Throughout her nursing career, she worked in Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Emergency Medicine, and Endoscopy. Marcia served at Methodist Hospital and Covenant Health Systems both in Lubbock, Texas and then Titus Regional Medical Center in Mount Pleasant, Texas.
Preceding her decline, Marcia was faithful to attend First Baptist Church of Pittsburg, Texas and the Arwine Sunday School Class. She truly loved and cared for her family. Marcia enjoyed reading, shopping and travel. She became very limited in her last years by physical and cognitive difficulties. The family would like to thank Focus Care of Mount Pleasant, Texas for their love, care and concern for Marcia in her last months.
