Linda Cathlene (Gray) Cortelyou

Linda Cathlene Cortelyou passed away at her home Sunday November 2, 2025, surrounded by her family. A visitation will be held Wednesday November 5th from 3:30 to 5:00 at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel. Linda was born February 13, 1941, in Tyler to John Lee Gray and Cathlene Frances Goodwin Gray.

Linda was a freight sales representative and sales manager for a number of large freight companies in Houston. She retired from Southeastern Freight in Tyler. Linda was also a reserve police officer for several departments.

Linda was the organist at a Methodist Church in Crosby. After she moved to Camp County, she joined Pittsburg’s First United Methodist Church and was one of the church’s representatives at God’s Closet. An accomplished photographer, some of Linda’s favorite subjects were any type of aircraft.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband of 45 years, John Cortelyou; four children and step-children; four grandchildren; one great-grandson and a brother and sister-in-law, John and Debby Gray.
