Leta Joyce (Rice) Morrow

Leta Joyce Morrow, 88, of Leesburg, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on September 12, 2025, in Winnsboro, Texas. She was born on October 29, 1936, in Roaring Springs, Texas, to Joe Bailey Rice and Geneva Elnora Bell Rice.

Leta grew up in Paducah, Texas, where she completed the 8th grade and later earned her GED. She spent much of her working life as an inspector at LTV, where her strong work ethic and dedication were deeply respected.

Leta was a devoted wife, mother, and Nana. She married the love of her life, William Tilton "Buster" Morrow, and together they built a family rooted in faith and love. Her greatest joy was her family, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion that will live on in all who knew her. A woman of faith, Leta was a long-time member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pittsburg, Texas, where she worshiped faithfully and found strength in her church family.

She is survived by her husband, Buster Morrow; her children, Debbie McMahen and husband, Dale, Vickie Morrow Presley, and  Jeff Morrow and wife, Tammy;  grandchildren, Keith McMahen and wife, Jennifer, Casey McMahen and wife, Aleese, Jesse Morrow and wife, Ashley, Megan Parker and husband, Dustin, Tailor Morrow, Marty Sparks and wife, Rea, Robby Presley Jr.; great-grandchildren, Brannon and Grayson McMahen, Dean and Will McMahen, Indie Morrow, Leif and Ripley Parker, Oliver Morrow, Marvie Morgan and husband Austin, and Tyler Sparks; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Winifred McElroy.

Leta is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Geneva Bell Rice; brother, Walter Prewitt; and sisters, Wanda Gray and Winona Rice.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.

A visitation will be held Monday, September 15, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Pittsburg, Texas. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Bro. Kyle Smith officiating. Interment will be at Leesburg Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers will be Keith McMahen, Casey McMahen, Jesse Morrow, Dustin Parker, Marty Sparks, and Austin Morgan.
