Lee Ray Cobb was born on December 8, 1947, in Grand Prairie, Texas to Oda Raymond and Vera Cobb. He grew up in Eagle Mountain Lake and graduated from W.E. Boswell High School, class of 1967.

When in good health, he could be found weekly at the local bowling alley where he and Cecile participated in a bowling league. In his later years, he enjoyed sitting on his back porch, drinking coffee, and watching wildlife; especially hummingbirds and feeding the squirrels. Lee enjoyed making others laugh and gathering around the dinner table for a home cooked meal with family and friends.
