Lanny Dwane Freeman

Mr. Lanny Dwane Freeman, age 65, of Pittsburg passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2026, in Mt. Pleasant. He was born March 29, 1960, in Mt. Pleasant, Texas to Larry and Jennifer Pepper Freeman.

Lanny was a man of little words, but he loved his family, and his girls and grandchildren were his pride and joy. Lanny was a retired heavy machinery operator and was of the baptist faith. He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Amanda Freeman; daughters, Nicole Duenez and husband Juan, and Linzi Moss and husband Jason; grandchildren, Maleah Duenez, Jalyssa Duenez, Valerie Moss, and Justin “JC” Moss; sisters, Ivette McAllister and husband James, Heather Moss, and Sabrina Johnson.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Larry and Jennifer Freeman; and his sister, Robin Vaught.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 7, 2025, at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg with Bro. Scott Darby officiating.
