Mrs. Judy Hood, age 71, of Leesburg, passed away on Saturday, December 10, 2022 in Winnsboro. She was born March 27, 1951 to Harvey and Peggy Holmes Davis in Winnsboro, Texas.
She graduated from Winnsboro High School where she was Homecoming Queen, worked as a teacher’s aide and secretary in public schools, attended Calvary Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs, and enjoyed cooking and made sure that everyone that came to her house didn’t leave hungry. She worked hard through the years and raised three boys. She enjoyed so many things, but spending time with her grandchildren was most special to her.
She is survived by her sons, Tim Hood and wife LaDonna, Toby Hood and wife Tami, and Justin Hood and wife Tambi; grandchildren, Garret Hood, Kali Cox, Slayton Hood, Stantton Hood, Ava Hood and Emma Hood; four great-grandchildren; brother, Will Davis, sister Janey Koon and husband Ricky; sister-in-law, Nelda Crocker and Sherry Wallace; and a brother-in-law, Dennis Hood and wife Patty.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Dee Hood, and infant daughter Amanda Gail Hood.
Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., December 14, 2022 at Leesburg Cemetery in Leesburg with Bro. Kyle Smith officiating. There will be a visitation held before the service beginning at 10:30 A.M. at the cemetery.
