John Dee Hood

Mr. John Dee Hood age 71, of Leesburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 in Winnsboro. He was born October 20, 1950 to Willie Dee Hood and Elta Lorene Deverell Hood in Leesburg, Texas.

He worked as a machinist at Andritz in Pittsburg, attended Calvary Baptist Church in Sulphur Springs, and enjoyed coaching little league baseball, but spending time with his grandchildren was most special to him.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Davis Hood, sons, Tim Hood and wife LaDonna, Toby Hood and wife Tami, and Justin Hood and wife Tambi, grandchildren, Garret Hood, Kali Cox, Slayton Hood, Stantton Hood, Ava Hood and Emma Hood, four great-grandchildren, sisters, Nelda Crocker and Hilda Cook,  and a brother Dennis Hood and wife Patti.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Dee Hood and Elta Lorene Hood, infant daughter Amanda Gail Hood, and his brother Warren Elton Hood.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, February 11, 2022 at Leesburg Cemetery in Leesburg with Bro. Kyle Smith officiating. There will be visitation held before the service beginning at 1:30 P.M. at the cemetery.
