John L. Gordineer

Funeral services for John L. Gordineer, 66, of Pittsburg, will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 10, 2023 at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Johnny Bell officiating.  Interment will be in the Leesburg Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home.  Mr. Gordineer passed away Tuesday, February 7, 2023, in a Tyler hospital.

Mr. Gordineer was born September 26, 1956, in Peekskill, NY to James and Margaret Smith Gordineer. He retired from Priefert Manufacturing after 40 years of service have been the second person hired when the company started in business.

He is survived by his wife, Sondra Gordineer; son, Kevin McCarthy and wife, Starla; daughter, Cassandra Michler and husband, Charles; grandchildren, Angela, Samantha, Tiffany, Nastasha, Tevin, Jadyn, Dillion, and Halie; great-grandchildren, Autumn, Aiden, Hunter, Daisy, Isaac, and Elijah; sisters, Mary Ann Gordineer and Mary Lou Cannata; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mr. Gordineer was preceded in death by his parents; son, Michael McCarthy; brother, James Gordineer; and sister, Cathi See.

Pallbearers will be Kevin McCarthy, Tevin McCarthy, Jim Gordineer, Brett Gordineer, Cody Buck, and Aiden Michler.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 10, 2023, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
