John Edward Stephens, Jr.

Memorial service for John Edward Stephens, Jr., 74, of Pittsburg will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Emmanuel Baptist Church with Bro. Ben Warrick officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home in Pittsburg.  Mr. Stephens passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at his residence.

Mr. Stephens was born July 30, 1946 in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania to John Edward Sr. and Phyliss June McKinney Stephens.  He was retired from Pilgrim Pride as the Transportation Manager, was a veteran of the United States Army 82nd Airborne and a member of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Linda E. Stephens; sons, Jonathan Paul Stephens of Gilmer, Michael Alan Stephens of Joaquin and Chad Allen Stephens of Gilmer; daughter, Melissa Faye Stephens of North Carolina; brothers, Charlie Cooper and Todd Stephens; sisters, Mary June Geyer, Brenda Kay Breger, Pam Stephens and Joyce Devoe; numerous grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
