Living a strong 84 years, John David Connor, Sr. went to heaven on Thursday, August 29, 2024, surrounded by his family at his home in Pittsburg Texas.
His life began on August 8, 1940 to William and Beatrice Matejcek Connor in Minneapolis, Minnesota. John was a master of many trades starting with serving his country in the United States Air Force. But once he decided to follow Jesus, his passion took a new direction. During his years with The Lord he supported his family and retired from insurance sales and the United States Postal Service. He loved God above all else and was on a daily mission to share the love of Jesus with everyone, wherever he went. John never stopped discovering and sharing God’s truth as a member of Living Word Church in Pittsburg.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Renee Kofer Connor; four sons, John David Connor, Jr. and his wife Janell, Kevin Connor, William Connor and wife Diana, Christopher Connor; two daughters, Rebecca Sechrist and husband Blake, and Sarah Stoneking and husband Joshua; grandchildren, Kayleigh and husband Quinn Jennings, Nathan, Joshua, Micah, Nehemiah, Abigail, Ashlyn, Madisyn, Preston, Olivea, Titus, Ezekiel, and Evalyn; and his first great-grandchild, Shepherd.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents, and his brother, William James Connor.
