Memorial services for Joe Keith Weaver, 68, of Dallas (formerly of Pittsburg TX) will be at 2:00 PM Friday, January 28, 2022, at Lavon Drive Baptist Church in Garland with Kerby Richmon officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home in Pittsburg TX. Joe passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, December 1, 2021.
He was born July 10, 1953, in Pittsburg TX to Randolph Henry and Fayrene Knight Weaver. He served in the armed forces for the United States Army. He was a graduate of Garland High School Class of 1971, attended Richland College and UT Arlington. He was a teacher at The Winston School of Dallas. He was recently retired from Texas Instruments (TI) and a member of Lavon Drive Baptist Church in Garland.
Joe is survived by his eldest brother, Delma Gene Weaver and his wife Lynn; his youngest brother, John Mark Weaver; his beloved dog, Daisy; “his girls”; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; and his dear friends whom he adored.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Randolph and Fayrene Weaver; and his brothers, Gary Lynn Weaver and James Randall Weaver.
Our Joe loved world travel, fast cars, photography, scuba diving, and teaching. No one who met Joe could ever forget his infectious passion for the arts. He was a gentle soul with a huge heart. The world was a far better place with him in it. He loved “BIG”. He will be dearly missed. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for joining them in celebrating his life.
