He was a graduate of Garland High School Class of 1971, attended Richland College and UT Arlington. He was a teacher at The Winston School of Dallas. Joe is survived by his eldest brother, Delma Gene Weaver and his wife Lynn; his youngest brother, John Mark Weaver; his beloved dog, Daisy; “his girls”; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; and his dear friends whom he adored.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Randolph and Fayrene Weaver; and his brothers, Gary Lynn Weaver and James Randall Weaver.

Our Joe loved world travel, fast cars, photography, scuba diving, and teaching. No one who met Joe could ever forget his infectious passion for the arts. He was a gentle soul with a huge heart. The world was a far better place with him in it. He loved “BIG”. He will be dearly missed. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude for joining them in celebrating his life.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Turgwe Hippo Trust in his name and in the name of Kuchek (his adopted Hippo)

Visitation with the family will immediately follow the service.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. ... I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
