Mr. Jerry Dean Roark, age 67, of Pittsburg, formerly of Artesia, New Mexico, passed away on Monday, June 10, 2024 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He was born December 17, 1956 to Vestal and Elsie Owens Roark in Artesia, New Mexico. Jerry was retired from the oilfield.
He is survived by his son, Jeremy Roark and wife Shandel of Artesia, New Mexico; daughter, Tabitha Dawson and husband James of Georgetown, SC; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brothers, Terry Roark and wife Thelma of Artesia, NM, and James Roark of Pittsburg, TX; sisters, Louise Mayo of Gilmer, TX, Pamela Mosley of Ore City, TX, Bertha Voss of Rio Rancho, NM, Tammy Saylor of Pittsburg, TX, and Katie Gonzalez of Pittsburg, TX; numerous nieces and nephews; and his Godmother, Jan Sorrells and husband Tommy of Pittsburg, TX.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Irene Roark; daughter, Lynette Burrel; both of his parents; and his siblings, Vestal Roark, Jr., Richard Roark, Johnny Roark, Evelyn Roark, Janey Matthews, and Carolyn Turnball.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 14, 2024 at the Pavillion at Lake Bob Sandlin State Park, 341 State Park Road 2117 Pittsburg, Texas, at 6:00P.M. gates fees for entrance for the Celebration of Life will be paid up front by his family.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Artesia, NM.
