Jerry Wayne Norton

Mr. Jerry Wayne Norton, age 79, of Pittsburg, passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at his home in Pittsburg. He was born March 1, 1947 to Sam and Martha Branam Norton in Waxahachie, Texas.

Mr. Norton started his career with the airline in May of 1967 with Braniff International, he then moved into Management with American Airlines, in 2007 he retired from working in Management with Southwest Airlines. He thoroughly enjoyed golfing, fishing, and traveling. He was a great handyman, he could fix anything.

He is survived by his wife Deborah Tompkins Norton; children, Tamara McCasland, Jason Norton and wife Angela, Jerrod Norton, Scott McCutcheon and wife Andrea, and Carrie McCutcheon; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchilren; brothers, Don Norton and wife Edie, Randy Norton and wife Toni; and sister, Jan Marshall and husband Brent.

He is preceded in death by both of his parents, Sam and Martha Branam Norton; and his brother, Sammy Norton.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Bear Creek Cemetery in Euless, Texas.
