Jeffrey Kent Overstreet

Graveside service for Jeffrey Kent Overstreet, 46, longtime resident formerly of Pittsburg will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 5, 2022, in Maple Springs Cemetery with Reverend Clifford Taylor, Jr. officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Springs Cemetery in Camp County.  Arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home.  Mr. Overstreet passed away Thursday, morning September 1, 2022, in Austin Hospice’s Christopher House.

Mr. Overstreet was born April 30, 1976, in Pittsburg to Terry Wayne and Laura Jane Reynolds Overstreet.  He worked in the customer service department with Chase Bank, and as a security guard near the Austin Airport.  Jeff was an avid fan of Steven Spielberg films, especially the Indian Jones and Star Wars series.  He loved music in particular John Williams compositions.  He was Baptized in the Baptist Faith as a child.

He is survived by his parents, Terry Wayne Overstreet; mother, Laura Jane Reynolds Lunsford and husband, Robert “Bob” Lunsford; sister, Julie Bunn; niece, Kora Powers and husband, Tyler Hattenbach and niece, Evie Bunn; great-niece, Sophie Hattenbach; aunts, Judy Rozell, Margaret and Henry Coffman, and Linda Hanyka and great-aunt, Dorothy Reynolds, step-uncle, David Clifton, as well as many cousins.

Mr. Overstreet is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Weldon and Ovelle Reynolds and stepmother, Edith Reynolds, paternal grandparents, Walter and Lillie Overstreet, and aunt Sharon Reynolds Smith.

Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday, September 5, 2022, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
