Janet Marie (Evans) Blankenship

Funeral services for Janet Marie Blankenship, 77, of Pittsburg will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Kyle Smith officiating.  Interment to follow at Reeves Chapel Cemetery in Camp County. Mrs. Blankenship passed away, Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at her residence surrounded by family.

Mrs. Blankenship was born on October 7, 1946, in Upshur County to William Earl and Mina Lee Bassham Evans.  She worked for many years at Holman’s Manufacturing and at Mike Benet Formals. She was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Buddy Keith Blankenship Sr.; daughter, Jeanette Severson and husband, Chad of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Cyndi Petree and husband, Chase of Pittsburg, Cortney Ralson and husband, Justin of Tyler, Aaron Blankenship and wife, Renee of Mt. Pleasant,  Parker Severson of Atlanta, GA, Taylor Severson of Atlanta, GA; great-grandchildren, Cattibrie, Everly, Jorgia, Brody, Emilyn, Cassidy, and Katie Lee; daughter-in-law, Lisa Logan of Mt. Pleasant; brothers, Johnny Evans, Billy Evans, and Ricky Evans; and sister,  Pasty Askew.

Mrs. Blankenship is preceded in death by her son, Keith Blankenship Jr.; brother, Ronnie Evans, and her parents.

Pallbearers will be Rick Evans, Aaron Blankenship, Chase Petree, Chad Severson, Shane Evans, and Johnny Evans.

Honorary Pallbearers will be  Justin Ralson, Parker Severson, Brody Ralson, and Billy Evans.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Cypress Basin Hospice, 207 Morgan Street, Mt. Pleasant, TX 75455.
