James Patrick Yates, Jr.

James Patrick Yates, Jr., 62, of Pittsburg, passed away Thursday, February 26, 2026, in Pittsburg.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Erman Smith Funeral Home.

Mr. Yates was born June 17, 1963, in Tennessee, to James Patrick Yates, Sr. and Barbara Jean Pilgrim.  He was a retired truck driver for over 30 years and worked for Priefert.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta Harris-Yates; sons, Colby Yates, and Mark Sansoucie; daughters, Vicky Boones, Brianne Rizzio, Shannen Rizzio, and McKenzie Harris; grandchildren, Kairi, Terra, Leland, Sara, Logan, and Joseph; brother, Damon Yates; and sisters, Teri Stone, Theresa Wesbter, and Deborah Morris.

No formal visitation is scheduled.
