James Norton Sunday

James Sunday age 86, of Pittsburg passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at his home in Pittsburg. He was born September 2, 1937 to Bermond and Clara Looke Sunday in Austin, Texas.

He was retired from auto parts sales, enjoyed playing golf, and was a Baptist.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Tillett Sunday, son, Ray Sunday; daughters, Lisa Penn and husband Gary, Paula Sunday and husband David; step-son, Mark Higginbotham and Jill Andrews; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Beverly Soucy, and Nancy Sunday.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and step-daughter, Valerie Holtzclaw.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00A.M. Saturday, April 13, 2024 at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg with interment to follow in Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg. There will be a visitation held before the service beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
