James Franklin McElhaney, age 79, of Pittsburg, passed away on Thursday March 31, 2022 at his home in Pittsburg. He was born September 30, 1942 to William Lenard McElhaney and Lorena Jane Ashmore McElhaney in Camp County.
He was a welder by profession and of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife, Cammy Burns McElhaney; son, J.D. McElhaney and wife Claudia, daughter, Holly Bradford and husband Robin, grandchildren, Cheyenne Reynolds, Collen Bradford, Trevor Bassinger, Emily Parr, Hannah Mata, great-grandchildren, Eli McElhaney, Brynlee Bassinger, Kasen Bassinger, Graysen Bassinger, and Alyvia Mata, brother, Olen McElhaney, mother-in-law, Janice Burns, sister-in-law, Lori Richardson, and brother-in-law, Keith Burns, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents William and Lorena McElhaney, son, Jackie McElhaney, grandson, Dakota McElhaney, brothers, Lee McElhaney, Luke McElhaney, Don McElhaney, and sisters, Molley McElhaney, Patsy Hallonquist, and father-in-law, Benny Burns.
Graveside Services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Ebenezer Cemetery in Pittsburg with Bro. Duane Turner and Harold Kennington officiating. Pallbearers will be, Collen Bradford, Trevor Bassinger, Drew Parr, Sean Reynolds, Santos Mata, Randy Acker, and Josh Burns. There will be a visitation held before the service beginning at 1:00 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. in the fellowship hall at Ebenezer Friendship Baptist Church in Pittsburg.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ebenezer Friendship Baptist Church or Cypress Basin Hospice.
