James "Jim" Geffers

Graveside services for James “Jim” Geffers, 74, of Leesburg will be held at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Pineview Cemetery with Chaplin John Hines officiating.  Interment will be in Pineview Cemetery.  Mr. Geffers passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026, in a Mt. Pleasant nursing home with his wife by his side.

Mr. Geffers was born on March 4, 1952, in Wellsville, New York to Kenneth and Beatrice Teriberry Geffers.  He was a retired truck driver and welder.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Short Geffers; sons, Nick Geffers and Brad Geffers; daughter, Heather Fears; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry Geffers and Ray Geffers; sisters, Linda Austin, and Judy Mattison.

Mr. Geffers is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Beatrice Geffers; brothers, Kenneth Geffers, Joel Geffers, and Calvin Geffers; sisters, Sandy Davis, Margaret Giblin, and Mary Geffers.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel.
