Graveside services for Huelene Arnold, 99, of Pittsburg, Texas will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at Rose Hill Cemetery. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with Chaplain Carol Gilbert officiating. Mrs. Arnold passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025, at a nursing facility in Longview. She was born on December 13, 1925, in Pittsburg to Edna and Billie Oliver Brison.
Huelene was married to Lavelle Arnold of Gilmer, Texas. Together, they made their home in Houston, where they raised their family and spent nearly 40 years before returning to Pittsburg after retirement.
Those who knew Huelene will likely share a common memory: the unforgettable meals she lovingly prepared and shared. From crispy fried crappie and hush puppies to her wonderful peach cobbler and homemade ice cream, her kitchen was a place of warmth, comfort, and connection. She took great joy in cooking—not just for the love of it, but for the joy it brought to those around her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lavelle; her sister, Fayrene Hayslip of Longview; and her grandson, Blake Arnold of Houston.
Huelene is survived by her brother, Bobby Lee “Sonny” Brison; her two sons, Norman Arnold of Houston and Dennis Craig Arnold of Pittsburg; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
No formal visitation is scheduled.
