Harry Weed Obituary

Mr. Harry Milton Weed of Pittsburg was born March 11, 1932 in Wallace, La. to Robert Amos Weed and OttieOmega Emmons Weed and passed away December 23 at his home in Pittsburg.

Mr. Weed graduated from Delhi High School in Delhi, La, and received his bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech. He served his country in the United States Army. He was a 28 year member of the First Baptist Church of Pittsburg.

Mr. Weed is survived by his wife of 65 years Ellen (Thomas) Weed of Pittsburg; son Jay Weed and wife Paula of Texas City, Texas; 2 daughters Rhonda Herr and husband Rich of Eden Prairie, Minnesota and Cynthia Hill and husband Rick of Dripping Springs, Texas; 6 grandchildren Caitlyn Prusinski and husband Dan, Ryan Herr, Megan Hill, Ashley Hill, Erin Hill, and Tyler Weed; 2 great-grandchildren Eevie and Isla Prusinski; and sister Joan Merritt of Jackson, Mississippi.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Marvin Ray Weed, and daughter Lynn Ellen Weed.

Due to Covid and the season, a private family service was held, with burial at the Leesburg Cemetery.
