Funeral services for Gregoria Chavez-Flores will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pittsburg with Father Robert Cigainero officiating. Interment will follow in Lady of the Fatima Cemetery in Daingerfield. Arrangements are under the directions of Erman Smith Funeral Home in Pittsburg. She passed away Thursday, January 16, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Chavez-Flores was born March 16, 1941, to Eulalio Chavez and Catalina Flores in El Organito, Santo Maria, Del Rio, San Luis Potosi, Mexico. She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by her children, Alicia Torres Chavez, Gelacio Torres Chavez, Uvaldo Torres Chavez, Rosa Torres Chavez, Socorra Torres Chavez, Socorro Torres Chavez, Teresa Torres Chavez, Araceli Torres Chavez, Ana Torres Chavez, and Rosario Torres Chavez; grandchildren, Reyna Soriano, Gerado Soriano, Jose Torres, Alicia Soriano, Jonatan Ramirez, Kevin Ramiez, Angel Herrera, Anthony Herrera, Miguel A. Torres, Alex Herrera, Lesli Guerrero, Emmanuel Guerrero, and Yahair Guerrero.
Mrs. Chavez-Flores is preceded in death by her husband, Ildefoso Torres; child, Nazario Torres Chavez; and her parents.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m., Friday, January 17, 2025, to 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the white building across the street from Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pittsburg.
