Grace Lavern (Tillery) French

Mrs. Grace Lavern French, a loving mother and Nanny, was born November 14, 1934, in Hagansport, Texas to John Tillery and Gladys Henry Tillery and passed away Peacefully on May 24, 2024, in Pittsburg, Texas.

Grace retired from Pittsburg ISD after working in the Junior High cafeteria for 17 years. She loved Jesus & loved her family with all her heart. She attended and was a devout member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Pittsburg Tx. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Southern Wind. 

She is survived by her son, Chris French and his wife Ginger of Whitehouse, Texas; daughters, Terry Clifton of Pittsburg, Texas, Tammie Pascoe and her husband Larry of Cookville, Texas, Stephanie Willingham and her husband Randy of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; grandchildren, Mickey French, Courtney French, Gary Clifton, Caston Clifton-LeBlanc, Raven Posey, Angie Ford, John Pascoe, Josh Pascoe, Chance Chamness, Jayden Beckham, Sarah Pastorino, and Miranda Santiago; 26 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren;  and sister, Bonnie Foster of Pittsburg, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Gladys Tillery; husband, Junior French; brother, Louie Tillery; sisters, Birdie Dyar, Betty Hardy, and Joy Marie Tillery; sons-in-law, Richard Clifton and Troy Beckham.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:00 P.M. Monday, May 27, 2024 at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel with burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg, Texas. The family will receive friends between 1:30 P.M. and service time on Monday at the funeral home. Brothers David Posey and Josh Posey will officiate the service and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
