Gerald David Brieger, age 89, of Pittsburg, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 in Pittsburg. He was born December 19, 1934 to Gussie Eugene and Ethel Walker Brieger in Taylor, Texas.
He was retired from Pilgrims Bank and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Pittsburg.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Johnson Brieger; son, Brad Brieger; daughter, Julie Blackstock; grandchildren, Heather Burleson, Hayley Young and husband Dewayne, Shelby Clements and husband Brandon, Katy Brieger, Luke Brieger, and Rylee Rosales and husband Omar; great-grandchildren, Harlei Young, and Rayden Price, Kynnedi Maqueda, Angel Maqueda, Grayson Maqueda, Reed Young, Mason Young, Sage Clements, Bradley Maqueda, Catalina Rosales, Adriana Rosales, Omar Rosales, Jr.; and sister-in-law, Joyce Brieger.
He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Donald Brieger and Eugene Brieger.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Pittsburg with George French officiating. Pallbearers will be Bradley Maqueda, Dewayne Young, Rayden Price, Reed Young, Harlei Young, Luke Brieger, and Miguel Maqueda. There will be a visitation held at the Erman Smith Funeral Home Chapel in Pittsburg from 1:00 P.M. till 2:00 P.M. before the service.
