George Clayton Fant

Mr. George Fant, age 84, of Gilmer passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 in Pittsburg. He was born December 23, 1936 to Burl and Bedie Akins Fant in Texarkana, Texas.

He served in the United States Navy and was retired from the United States Postal Service.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Goodnight Fant; son, David Williamson; step-son, William Moss and wife Sarah; daughter, Debbie Groff, step-daughters, Shonna Dalton and fiancé Jimmy Janway, and Billie Kealer and husband Ben; ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Burl Fant; and sisters, Bernice Honea, Janie Monroe, and Mildred Austin.

There will be a Memorial Service held at a later date.
